March 2013 update: My apologies for the inconvenience - I know word verification is a pain - but I've had to turn it on to help stop the ridiculous number of anonymous spam comments I've been getting every day. Thanks for your understanding.
Welcome to InMyKitchenGarden.com! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love to hear about what's going on in your own garden. I know, too, that other readers also delight in reading about your garden successes, failures, helpful tips, and lessons learned. Feel free to leave comments on older posts!
I try my best to answer all questions, but sometimes it takes me a few days to get to them. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.
I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your visits to my kitchen garden!
Great post! I got the same take-apart shears back in August and they have rarely left my side when I'm up in the garden. They really are the perfect tool for harvesting all sorts of edibles - especially things like zucchini, which I used to damage because I was too lazy to run back to the house to get a proper tool or knife for harvest! No longer, thanks to my shears.. :)

I too love scissors and always have a few pairs in every room. For cutting herbs I always use my Cutco Shears, it's the one pair of scissors that has lasted me for years and years (I've had them 18 years, got them in college). I also have a few cheap pairs that I keep in the garage for dirty chores that would ruin regular scissors, I was just thinking yesterday while working though that I should considering getting a gardening knife to have on my belt all the time, that save me time - no running to the garage to get a pair of scissors.
