Today's Picks

Realization Of The Day:
Sometimes a photo can wipe out a thousand words.

All the ones you cursed and muttered and screamed in shock and frustration and disappointment and disbelief--while struggling to create your garden.

P.S. The farm got an inch of rain last night. Thank goodness.

  1. What a beautiful bowl of vegies - I can almost smell their sweetness. Glad the bugs didn't get to them. T.

  6. An inch of rain sounds like a blessing to those of us in droughtland. Currently trying to get my goats to eat what is left of my pitiful veggie garden (heat and drought are rough on a vegetable plot) - then will put a load of goat by-product (compost), black plastic and help nature re-create a good growing spot! Winter gardens are feasible here - and getting rid of weeds/grasses will make life simpler - simple is good right? Congrats on the rain and the beautiful harvest - those colors are so intense - we'd hesitate to put them inside the house but inside the stomach - YIPPEE! Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hi Tina,
    Me, too!

    Hi Sissy,
    Definitely!

    Hi Marlinda,
Thanks. Wow, sounds like you've had plenty of rain. We just got another three inches over the weekend which should make a huge difference.

    Hi Bruno,
The best part is it tastes as good as it looks.

    Hi Linda Sue,
I hope you get some rain soon. Yes, simple is always good--at least in my opinion! Every year I am struck by the beauty of red and orange peppers--and the neat feel that they have.

    Hi Christa,
Thank you. These are my two favorite varieties of sweet peppers. The orange ones are Orange Sun Bells (sooo sweet) and the red ones are Aconcaguas. Click here to read my previous post all about them.

March 2013 update: My apologies for the inconvenience - I know word verification is a pain - but I've had to turn it on to help stop the ridiculous number of anonymous spam comments I've been getting every day. Thanks for your understanding.

Welcome to InMyKitchenGarden.com! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. While I'm not always able to reply to every comment, I receive and enjoy reading them all.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated, and I especially love to hear about what's going on in your own garden. I know, too, that other readers also delight in reading about your garden successes, failures, helpful tips, and lessons learned. Feel free to leave comments on older posts!

I try my best to answer all questions, but sometimes it takes me a few days to get to them. And sometimes, I'm sorry to say, they fall through the cracks, and for that I sincerely apologize.

I look forward to hearing from you and hope you enjoy your visits to my kitchen garden!
